Little did I know that on the other side of my pregnancy, there was an entire different world that was waiting to embrace me? Somehow I didn’t realise then, that life was going to revolve around my little one, and so much so that I would even time my loo visits according to his schedule. But does that mean I am complaining? Not at all! In fact, I realise now that how there are a lot of these mothers that I know who are always on a run, always busy, always having something on their mind – and how without realising what they are going through – I would tell them that they need to chill and think of a life beyond their kids as well. But now I know, first hand, that once a mother – your mind functions differently. You will never make the same choices you once did. But I also believe it makes you more aware of the world or life, it makes you wiser, you develop a superior quality of time management skills, you become more sensitive and creative in very different ways. And if you keep your head in the right place, it will bring you the kind of success you didn’t imagine you could achieve as a mother. Motherhood is very empowering in a very unexplainable way – you just have to keep your heart open to all sorts of experiences – and life will give you wings.
Today’s post is about all those little things that you can do – within the first year of having your child – to cherish these beautiful moments that you share with your child. And when they will be older, it will be these things – these memories, that will be alive around you and you will get to revisit the most beautiful time of your life again and again.
